Rita was busy debugging her code and suddenly an email popped up.Normally she would have read it after her work is done, but the subject of the email caught her eye.She scrutinized the sender's email id.It wasn't a familiar one.She didn't remember giving her official email id to anyone outside the office except one person, her dad.
She started going through the email .It was talking about very personal details of her.Rita met Sandeep 3 months ago .Like any other love story, theirs also started with friendship and ended up in commitment.Soon they talked about it to their parents,as both of them wanted their parents to know from them rather than any external source .Unfortunately the matter was not received well by either of their parents although Sandeep's dad didn't oppose strongly.

The mail utterly abused Sandeep and his parents .It even declared Sandeep as characterless and his dad as a prison returnee. It claimed that Sandeep had been already married with a wife and kid and his father had been to prison for duping some insurance firm. While Rita read the mail, she at once found a similarity in the tone of the mail.It was that of an authoritative person who was literally ordering her to break her relationship with Sandeep. In the end, the mail said that Rita had to apologize to her parents for cheating them and finding her own partner. This was mentioned in big bold capitals. Now she had no doubt about who had sent this email as this style of writing belonged to one person only. She had not had the liberty to choose anything through out her life. Her dad did the choosing for her always. Now that she chose her life partner, she was termed as a cheat and as a conspirator who worked out a plan to go against her parents. The fact that love happens unplanned was never understood.
Rita's eyes were filled with tears, nevertheless she shook them off and went back to debugging.
